There’s traditional favourites including a library and card room and of course the sublime swimming pool with ample sun bed space and two luxurious whirl pools to melt away your troubles. However, the Explorer has something more unique available with its Culinary Arts Kitchen offering guests a chance to get hands on and learn new recipes and cooking skills from the talented Regent Chefs. On selected sailings, guests can even join the Chefs as they go ashore to gather ingredients for the evening menu, giving tips on how to pick the freshest and best quality items and sharing information on how they’d use the ingredients to create the dishes. The Canyon Ranch SpaClub is also a true highlight of this stunning ship, featuring an array of treatments including seaweed wraps and ayurverdic and aromatherapy massages. For guests that like to be pampered then the salon offers manicures, pedicures, hair care and other luxurious beauty treatments. For guests who don’t want to skimp on their exercising at sea, then the Fitness Suite and Recreation Areas on the ship will certainly come in handy. Equipped with state of the art machines, the fitness centre has treadmills, weight benches and a Nautilus machine. Qualified Canyon Ranch fitness experts even provide several exercise classes throughout your cruise. When you’ve worked up a sweat and your muscles are aching you’ll feel like you’ve earned your reward which is a blissful soak in the infinity pool which is the most impressive pool we’ve ever seen at sea.
The Explorer has four different lounges; the Meridian Lounge, Connoisseur Club, Explorer Lounge and Observation Lounge. The Meridian Lounge provides a great place to gather for drinks before or after a show in the theatre, the Connoisseur Club is an elegant hideaway with comfortable leather chairs where you can enjoy a fine cigar with friends and the Explorer Lounge provides guests with live music on an intimate stage. The Observation Lounge is the place to go for guests wanting to enjoy panoramic views from inside the ship with it’s floor to ceiling windows and wonderfully comfortable seating where you could easily while away hours just enjoying the ocean and port views. Of course for the finest entertainment on board, guests will find themselves heading to the Constellation Theatre which pays homage to the golden era of Hollywood with its decadent decor and intricate entry-way mosaic. Guests will enjoy watching the shows from the elegant cabaret-style seating.
The dining experience on the Regent Seven Seas Explorer is a real masterpiece. There’s 8 different venues to choose from ranging from casual yet delicious meals at the Pool Grill and gourmet sandwiches and freshly baked cookies at the Cafe to more spectacular feats of culinary wizardry in the likes of Pacific Rim which is inspired by the dining traditions of Asia. One evening guests could be dining on fabulous French cuisine at Chartreuse and on the next it could be mouthwatering Italian meals at Sette Mari. Guests who love nothing more than a perfectly cooked steak will revel in a dining experience at Prime 7, whilst the Compass Rose which is the flagship restaurant of the Regent Fleet, is where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner as the main restaurant of the Explorer.
What many cruisers will relish most about Regent Seven Seas is the all-inclusive experience. All drinks are included – even premium labels! But that’s not all, as a Regent guest you’ll also have access to free unlimited shore excursions which include a variety of options such as a high-speed catamaran tour of Tracey Arm Fjord in Alaska and a visit to a Butterfly Sanctuary and a Koala Sanctuary in Cairns.
